Pomoluna, an Android focus timer by Mutisia Studio. Last updated: . Leer en español.

The short version

Pomoluna does not collect your data. It cannot even send data anywhere, because the app has no internet access. It has no ads, no analytics, no crash reports and no accounts.

Your data stays on your phone

Your focus sessions, categories and settings are saved only on your phone. We (Mutisia Studio) never receive them and cannot see them.

No internet

Pomoluna does not ask Android for the permission to use the internet (INTERNET), so the app is not able to send anything out.

What Pomoluna does not have

Android backup

Android can automatically back up your apps to your Google account. If that is turned on in your phone, it may save Pomoluna’s data (your history, categories and settings) there, and move it to a new phone. This is done by Google, under Google’s own rules, not by us. You can turn it off in your Android settings.

Your own copies

In Settings → Data you can save a backup file (.json) or a spreadsheet file (.csv) of your history. You choose where the file is saved, and nothing is sent anywhere. What you do with the file is up to you.

Permissions the app asks for

A permission is something Android asks you, or tells you, the app may do. These are the permissions Pomoluna declares:

None of these gives the app access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone or camera.

Android libraries the app uses also add one internal permission, DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION. It only lets the app talk to itself safely and gives no access to anything.
